The Clanging Grandma and Her Dark Clouds

In front of Panda Kangkang’s house, there was a lush and dense thicket, where a black badger had moved in sometime before. She was Grandma Badger, with small eyes and a high nose, wearing a pair of tiny glasses. Her sharp little mouth was her most distinctive feature. She was a lonely old lady, ignored by everyone. She built a lovely little castle next to the thicket, surrounded by a small fence that kept everyone out. The castle had many doors, and whenever she walked, she took the keys with her, which would jingle and clank as she moved. This is why everyone called her “Clanging Grandma.”

One day, the little animals were playing hide and seek in the thicket. Just as they were having fun, they suddenly noticed “dark clouds” rising in the courtyard. The experienced little pig shouted, “Clanging Grandma’s house is on fire! Quick, let’s put it out!” Everyone bravely ran to the outside of “Clanging Grandma’s” yard, but how could they get in? Clever little rabbit rushed to the shed, brought a ladder, and everyone climbed up the ladder into “Clanging Grandma’s” house, carrying the unconscious Grandma Badger outside.

Uncle Elephant arrived at the scene and sucked up plenty of water from the pond to spray onto the roof. In no time, the fire was extinguished. When “Clanging Grandma” woke up, she was very grateful to the little animals. Later, they rebuilt a new castle for her, which looked beautiful, and now the doors were always open.

From then on, “Clanging Grandma” was no longer lonely. Everyone affectionately called her “Clanging Grandma,” and every evening, they would sit together around her, listening to her tell enchanting stories, as she had so many that she could tell forever…
