The Shy Little Beetle
A group of friends came to the big forest to find friends.
The little hedgehog found a cactus. The cactus took his hand, and they became a pair of spiky good friends.
The little dove found a dove tree. The dove tree smiled and said, “Great! My nickname will be ‘Dove Tree,’ and you’re welcome to visit my home!”
The little beetle was very shy and didn’t dare to make friends with the flowers and grass. With his head down, he walked quietly and saw a sensitive plant. The little beetle mustered up his courage and said, “Sister Sensitive Plant, would you like to be my friend?”
The sensitive plant lowered her head, as she was shy too. The little beetle happily began to sing: “You’re shy, I’m shy, being shy can have good friends. Good friends, hold hands, our friendship will last forever.”
