Rabbit A-Qi’s Hair Salon
A-Qi is a famous hair stylist in Rabbit Town. He can create many different hairstyles, such as a shiny boss cut for Mr. Rabbit, a neat princess hairstyle for Miss Rabbit, or two cute braids for Little Sister Rabbit. The rabbits in Rabbit Town love A-Qi and often visit his salon. However, recently, very few customers have been coming to A-Qi’s hair salon.
What’s going on? It turns out that at the east end of Rabbit Town, Grey Rabbit A-bo has opened a new hair salon. Not only does he cut and style hair, but he also dyes it, allowing customers to have their hair in various colors.
“A-Qi, you should learn to dye hair too; then we would all come back to your shop,” said Fat Bunny.
“But I think natural colors are the most beautiful! Those dyes are bad for your hair,” A-Qi insisted, refusing to dye hair no matter how much others persuaded him. As a result, everyone flocked to A-bo’s salon to dye their hair, and A-Qi’s shop had to close down.
Mr. Rabbit was unhappy with his head full of white hair, feeling like an old man. So, A-bo dyed his hair a bright black. Mrs. Rabbit, feeling her white hair lacked vitality, had hers dyed a chestnut color. Miss Rabbit thought golden hair looked more lively, so A-bo dyed her hair a shining gold… Just like that, all the rabbits in Rabbit Town changed their hair color, and A-Qi was the only one left with white hair.
“A-Qi, you should change your hair color too; it would make you look more spirited,” everyone told him, but he replied, “I believe hair color has nothing to do with spirit. You all shouldn’t dye your hair; those dyes are bad for it.”
However, no one listened to A-Qi.
Not long after, the rabbits in Rabbit Town noticed their hair was different from before: Mr. Rabbit’s hair kept falling out in clumps, Mrs. Rabbit’s scalp was itchy, and Miss Rabbit’s hair became very brittle, breaking easily… They couldn’t understand what was happening, so they all went to the Rabbit Town hospital.
The test results came out quickly, revealing that their scalps and hair had suffered significant damage, and the culprit was the colorful hair dyes.
Everyone was very angry, and when they went to confront Grey Rabbit A-bo, they found his salon was already locked up.
“Sigh!” they all sighed. “A-bo’s shop is closed; who will cut our hair now?”
“I’m still here!” came a cheerful voice. A-Qi smiled and stood there, touching his hair, even though it was the only white hair left in Rabbit Town.
