Confidence is a Kind of Beauty
Jenny is a little girl who always loves to keep her head down. She has always felt that she isn’t pretty enough. One day, she went to a jewelry store and bought a green bow. The shopkeeper kept complimenting her, saying that she looked lovely wearing the bow. Although Jenny didn’t believe it, she felt quite happy and unconsciously raised her head. In her eagerness to show everyone, she bumped into someone while exiting, but didn’t pay it any mind.
As Jenny walked into her classroom, she bumped into her teacher. “Jenny, you look beautiful with your head held high!” her teacher said, affectionately patting her shoulder.
That day, she received many compliments from her classmates. She thought it must be the bow that was making her look good, but when she looked in the mirror, she realized that she didn’t have the bow on her head at all; it must have fallen off when she bumped into someone as she left the store.
Confidence is, after all, a kind of beauty, yet many people lose out on happiness because they are too concerned with their appearance.
A warm reminder:
Whether poor or rich, whether breathtakingly beautiful or average-looking, as long as you hold your head high, happiness will make you charming—the kind of charm that everyone loves.
