wolf and rabbit Story
One day, Little White Rabbit was playing in the forest and found a piece of paper. On it were four words: “A wolf is coming.” Little White Rabbit was terrified and ran home as fast as she could to tell her mother, “Mom! Mom! There’s a wolf in the forest, look, look!”
Rabbit Mom saw the paper and was also frightened. She quickly went to inform all the neighbors in Rabbit Village.
Before long, everyone in the village came to look at the paper, and many rabbits started crying in fear.
“Oh no, my baby rabbit is only two days old, what should we do?”
“Oh no, my leg is injured, I can’t run fast, what should I do?”
The village chief, Old Grey Rabbit, arrived. He carefully examined the paper and said, “Don’t be afraid, don’t be afraid. This is only half a piece of paper. We don’t know what’s written on the other half yet. Little White Rabbit, where did you find this piece of paper?”
“In the small forest.”
“Then let’s all go to the small forest together and find the other half of the paper!”
Little White Rabbit led Old Grey Rabbit and many other rabbits to the small forest.
They searched and searched, and soon a sharp-eyed rabbit found another piece of paper. On it were two more words: “is coming.”
Now, everyone was even more scared. “Ah, a wolf is coming! Run!” Those who could run fast fled, while those who were slower or injured started crying loudly.
Even Old Grey Rabbit didn’t know what to do.
A little squirrel, hearing the crying, asked, “Why are you all crying?”
Old Grey Rabbit said, “A wolf is coming! Look at this piece of paper.”
The little squirrel looked at the paper and said, “This paper isn’t complete yet. Look, there are still torn edges. Keep looking, there must be more pieces.”
Old Grey Rabbit took a closer look and quickly called all the rabbits to search again.
Just then, a giraffe arrived and asked, “What are you all looking for?”
“We’re looking for more pieces of paper.”
The giraffe looked around and said, “Look, there’s a piece of paper on that branch. I’ll get it for you.”
The giraffe fetched the paper, and Old Grey Rabbit pieced all three fragments together.
Ah, it turned out to be a complete message. It read: “A wolf is coming, but I shot it dead. Don’t be afraid.” Signed: “Sharpshooter Hunter.”
Ah, so the wolf was already dead! Everyone had been scared for no reason.
Little friend, this story teaches us that before understanding the whole truth, we shouldn’t jump to conclusions. Sometimes it can cause unnecessary trouble!
