Mr. Brown Bear Dries His Blanket

Mr. Brown Bear suddenly remembered that when he hibernated last winter, his blanket was a bit damp, cold, and even had a musty smell. It was really uncomfortable to sleep with.

Autumn had arrived, and Brown Bear was getting ready to hibernate again. He decided he needed to dry his blanket.
Brown Bear hung the blanket out to dry in the forest in front of his house.

But after walking around inside his house for a bit, he returned to find that the blanket he had hung outside had disappeared!

Brown Bear was anxious. If his blanket was lost, what would he cover himself with when hibernating? He searched everywhere and finally found a note on a tree in front of his house. The note read:
“Mr. Brown Bear, the trees here are too dense, and your blanket couldn’t catch any sunlight. It has gone off to find some sunshine.”

“What a strange thing! My blanket ran off to find sunlight by itself!” Brown Bear said as he started looking for the sunniest spot.

Sure enough, in the middle of the meadow, basking in the warm sunlight, there lay his flowery blanket. His good friends, Little Deer, Little Monkey, and Little Rabbit, were sitting around the blanket, singing songs.

Brown Bear understood how his blanket had “run” to the sunny spot.
The sunlight on the meadow was wonderful, and the blanket had become warm. Colorful flowers were blooming in the grass, and the sweet fragrance of the flowers had seeped into the blanket, making it smell nice.

His friends told him that they had sung many beautiful songs around the blanket, and those songs had soaked into it. They would keep him company through the winter.

Little Monkey also whispered to Brown Bear, telling him that he had hidden many fun riddles inside the blanket. If Brown Bear got bored, he could try guessing them.

By evening, when Brown Bear collected his blanket, it was warm and fragrant. He knew it was now filled with songs, laughter, and fun riddles…
