Mr. Leopard Who Loves to Dress Up

Mr. Leopard is quite fierce, and once anyone falls under his claws, there’s no hope of escaping.

Today, Mr. Leopard slicked down his fur until it gleamed, put on a stylish coat, and even tied a black bow tie, looking every bit like a noble gentleman.

He strolled leisurely through the forest, and whoever saw him quickly hid far away. Mr. Leopard felt quite regretful that no one dared to admire his beauty.

Unfortunately, there was a little rabbit chatting with a squirrel. They were so engrossed in their conversation that when Mr. Leopard placed a paw on the little rabbit’s shoulder, the rabbit simply pushed it away, saying:

“Stop joking around!”

When the rabbit turned and saw Mr. Leopard, he immediately realized it couldn’t be a joke. By then, the squirrel had already scurried up a tree in fright.

The rabbit shuddered but then surprisingly calmed down. He said:

“Hello, Mr. Leopard! I’m so happy to see you dressed so elegantly.” The rabbit sized up Mr. Leopard from head to toe and said, “It would be quite an honor to be eaten by such a distinguished leopard.”

Mr. Leopard burst into laughter, feeling immensely pleased.

“But,” the little rabbit continued, “while you’re eating me, you’re going to get your clothes dirty. Wouldn’t that be a pity?”

“You’re right, I should take off my new clothes,” Mr. Leopard muttered to himself.

“Of course, go ahead and take them off. I won’t run away—I could never outrun you, after all.” Hearing the little rabbit say this, Mr. Leopard thought he had a point. Compared to a race, the rabbit was definitely no match for him.

Mr. Leopard took off his coat and removed his beautiful bow tie. Just as he was about to start his meal, the little rabbit bolted away. Mr. Leopard dashed after him with all his might, and it seemed like he was just about to catch up.

At that moment, the squirrel on the tree shouted at the top of his lungs:

“Everyone, come grab the new clothes! This fancy bow tie is mine!”

Hearing this, Mr. Leopard hurried back to put on his clothes and tie the bow tie. He prepared to chase the little rabbit again.

But as for the little rabbit? He had long since disappeared.
