Dentist Fixes Rabbit Teeth

Nuli the Rabbit, why are your teeth stuck in the carrot?

One day, Nuli and Mute had just planted some seeds when two large birds flew over and pecked the seeds one by one into their beaks. Nuli the rabbit was so angry that he rushed out to chase them away, but he stepped on a rake in the field. The rake caught his foot, hit him on the head, and even knocked out one of his front teeth.

Luckily, his good friend Mute went with him to see the dentist. The dentist, a beaver, lived by the lake. He was quite funny, and when Nuli saw him, he wasn’t so scared anymore.

Hearing the conversation between the beaver dentist and Nuli, Mute couldn’t help but laugh. The beaver dentist had also broken a tooth once and had replaced it with two gold teeth. However, when he spoke, there was still a bit of a lisp. Proudly, the beaver said, “Theshe two are the onesh I shtuck in myshelf.” (These two are the ones I stuck in myself.)

Nuli said, “Ever shince my teeth broke, my shpeech hash a lishp.” (Ever since my teeth broke, my speech has a lisp.)

While the beaver dentist was fixing Nuli’s tooth, Mute stayed by his side, holding his hand. After the tooth was fixed, Nuli was very happy.

The beaver dentist looked at Mute and said, “Now it’s your turn.”

“But,” Mute said, “I don’t have any teeth!”

So, the beaver dentist pulled out a drawer filled with false teeth. He took out a set and fitted them on Mute. Mute, with the false teeth on, looked quite funny.

But he had a special trick up his sleeve: when he saw a fat fly, he stuck out his tongue and used the false teeth to catch it. Wow, what a surprising trick!
