Fun story for Kid: Little Mouse Eats Cake
A little mouse named Ace had just moved to a beautiful big city, where it made a home in the basement of a house. Ace found an old cotton shoe in the pile of junk and thought, “This will be my bed.”
One late night, when the stars were blinking sleepily and the flowers and grass had all fallen asleep, only the rustling sound of the wind blowing through the treetops could be heard. Ace thought, “It’s so late, the owner must be having sweet dreams! I’m hungry too, so I’ll take this chance to find something to eat.”
So, it tiptoed up the stairs and sneaked into the kitchen. Suddenly, a delicious smell filled the air, and it thought, “There must be a big cake here.”
Ace squinted and followed the scent. Ah! There was a big cake on the table! The cake was covered with a layer of snowy white cream, and on top of the cream were two bright red cherries.
Ace pounced on the cake like a hungry wolf, biting off a big piece. The sweet, fragrant cream filled its mouth with flavor, and the taste slid down its throat into its stomach, spreading warmth throughout its body. Ace gobbled up the cake, eating until its stomach was as round as a little balloon before it finally stopped.
When it looked up, it realized it had only eaten a corner of the cake! Ace called its family over, and they all carried the big cake back home, happily enjoying it together.
