dog and cat: Dotty and Domi’s Letters
The little dog Dotty and the little cat Domi were very good friends. Dotty lived on one side of the mountain, and Domi lived on the other. They often played together and chatted. However, whenever they returned to their own homes, they always missed each other.
Domi wrote a letter to Dotty, asking the little white pigeon to deliver it. After reading the letter, Dotty said, “I know what Domi wants to say.” The next day at noon, when the sun was at the top of the mountain, Domi and Dotty met under the big tree. They flew kites, played badminton, ate ice cream, and had a happy afternoon.
After returning home, Dotty also wrote a letter to Domi and asked the little white pigeon to deliver it. When Domi received Dotty’s letter, she happily said, “I know what Dotty is saying.” The next day after the sun set, when the moon and stars quietly rose into the sky, Domi knocked on Dotty’s door and said, “Dotty, I’m here!” So, Domi and Dotty danced under the moonlight. They danced and danced until they were tired, then sat down to eat cookies and drink juice, and had a wonderful evening.
One morning, Domi received a letter from Dotty. After reading the letter, Domi said, “Dotty is sick; I have to go see him right away.” Domi hurried to Dotty’s house, but strangely, there was no one there, and the bed was empty. Domi anxiously searched everywhere, calling out, “Dotty, where are you? I’m here!”
Dotty came running from afar, sweating all over. Domi asked, “Where did you go? Weren’t you sick?” Dotty replied:
“In the letter, I said I dreamed about you while I was sleeping!” The two good friends looked at each other and couldn’t help but burst out laughing. Dotty said, “Thank you for being so concerned about me. Let me treat you to some grilled fish!”
