Kid’s story about kindness: Little Star’s Earring

Little Star was playing in the sky when it suddenly touched its ear and realized that one of its earrings was missing. It had no idea when it had fallen off, but that earring was a gift from its mother. Little Star became very anxious and turned into a shooting star, descending to the ground to search for the lost earring.

Little Star asked a squirrel, who was gathering pine cones in a tree, for help. The squirrel happily agreed and searched every leaf on the tree, but it couldn’t find Little Star’s earring.

The squirrel was a bit disappointed, so it asked a rabbit, who was pulling up carrots on the grass, to help look. The rabbit enthusiastically agreed and searched every blade of grass, but it still couldn’t find Little Star’s earring.

The squirrel was now very disappointed and asked a little goldfish in the pond for help. The goldfish readily agreed, swishing its tail as it thoroughly searched every corner of the pond, but it still couldn’t find Little Star’s earring.

“My earring is gone,” Little Star said, extremely disappointed and started to cry. The sound of its crying woke up an old grandma field mouse in her burrow. “Are you looking for an earring? I found one last night and used it as a flashlight,” the grandma field mouse said.

It turned out that the grandma field mouse had poor eyesight. Little Star blinked and thought for a moment. Then it took off the other earring from its ear and handed it to the grandma field mouse, saying, “I’ll give you this earring too, so you can see even better when you walk at night.” “Thank you, sweet Little Star,” said the grandma field mouse, deeply touched.

Little Star flew back into the sky. Although it no longer had the earrings that its mother had given it, it felt incredibly happy inside.
