Transformations Story: The Little Dog Who Wanted to Be the Sun
Grinny was a little dog who loved to daydream. It often gazed at the sun, lost in thought. One day, Grinny said to the sun, “I want to be you. I think I can totally replace you.” The sun agreed.
So, little Grinny actually became the sun. It tried its best to shine, making people sweat profusely. Just as it was beaming joyfully, a cloud covered the sun. Grinny got angry and said, “I want to be a cloud.”
Grinny then turned into a cloud and darkened the sky. While it was feeling quite proud of itself, a gust of wind came and blew the cloud away. Grinny shouted, “I don’t want to be a cloud anymore; I want to be the wind.”
Grinny then became the wind and blew with all its might, but it couldn’t even move a small pile of dirt. So, it turned itself into a small pile of dirt. The little dirt pile was soon flattened by a water buffalo. Feeling the buffalo was strong, Grinny turned into a buffalo. However, a simple rope could tie up the buffalo, so Grinny turned itself into a rope.
Before long, a little dog came and chewed the rope into pieces in no time. Grinny was furious and shouted, “I want to be a little dog again!”
So, Grinny turned back into a little dog. It ran around happily, thinking to itself, “Haha, being a little dog is the best after all.”
