The Big Gray Pig
Chubby Pig sat on the ground, crying loudly. The Big Gray Wolf came over and asked, “Hey, why are you crying? Did someone bully you?”
“They all call me stupid, say I’m fat, and laugh at me for being greedy and lazy, saying I’m useless. Waaah—” Chubby Pig cried even harder.
“Really?” The Big Gray Wolf decided to help Chubby Pig. His eyes lit up as he came up with a good idea: “From now on, I won’t be the Big Gray Wolf anymore. I’ll pretend to be a pig and see what they say about me!”
Uncle Rabbit was building a house, and the Big Gray Wolf helped him carry wood. Little Rabbit came over and said, “Thank you, Big Gray Wolf.”
“Don’t call me Big Gray Wolf. I’m a pig now. Call me Big Gray Pig! Look, pigs are strong too,” said the Big Gray Wolf.
Uncle Rabbit and Little Rabbit were surprised, and Chubby Pig laughed quietly on the side.
Little Fox and Little Monkey were fighting, and the Big Gray Wolf ran over to separate them. “Children shouldn’t fight. Come on, shake hands, and be friends again.”
Little Fox and Little Monkey made up. They were grateful to the Big Gray Wolf and said, “Thank you, Big Gray Wolf.”
“Don’t call me Big Gray Wolf. I’m a pig now. Call me Big Gray Pig! See, pigs are helpful too,” said the Big Gray Wolf.
Little Fox and Little Monkey were surprised, and Chubby Pig laughed quietly on the side.
The Big Gray Wolf participated in a tug-of-war competition, and his red team won. The children cheered loudly, “Big Gray Wolf, you’re awesome!” “Big Gray Wolf, you’re so strong!” “Big Gray Wolf, you’re amazing!” But to their surprise, the Big Gray Wolf said, “Don’t call me Big Gray Wolf. I’m a pig now. Call me Big Gray Pig.”
“Big Gray Pig, you’re awesome!” “Big Gray Pig, you’re so strong!” “Big Gray Pig, you’re amazing!” The children laughed and shouted. The Big Gray Wolf was very happy, and Chubby Pig was so touched that he shed tears.
During mealtime, some children refused to eat this or that; some children were running around. Only the Big Gray Wolf and Chubby Pig ate heartily. Aunt Deer praised the Big Gray Wolf, “Everyone should learn from the Big Gray Wolf. Look how well he’s eating!”
“Aunt Deer, don’t call me Big Gray Wolf. I’m a pig now. Call me Big Gray Pig!”
“Oh? Why is that?”
“Chubby Pig is eating just as well as I am, so why aren’t you praising him?”
“Sorry, I keep forgetting about him,” Aunt Deer blushed. “Children, you should all learn from these two little pigs. Look how well they’re eating!” “Haha!” Chubby Pig was overjoyed to be praised by Aunt Deer!
