Wind Story: The Wind Thief
The Wind Thief was a gust of wind, a gust that loved to steal things from others.
“Whoosh—” It snatched away a little boy’s favorite chocolate.
“Whoosh—” It took a little girl’s beloved Barbie doll.
“Whoosh—” It grabbed a man’s newly bought phone.
“Whoosh—” It swiped a lady’s precious necklace.
“Whoosh—” It stole an old grandpa’s cherished pipe.
“Whoosh—” It took an old grandma’s cute pet cat.
The Wind Thief was wild like that, taking anything it saw, snatching things all day long without stopping.
“Curse that Wind Thief!” People hated it with a passion.
People came up with all sorts of ways to get rid of the Wind Thief, but it was clever and always saw through their traps, escaping smoothly every time.
“Ha, those humans are all fools!” The Wind Thief was extremely proud of itself.
The Wind Thief kept stealing more and more things, until they filled up several caves specially used for storing the stolen goods.
But what was the Wind Thief going to do with all these stolen items?
Keep them as antiques?
No, the Wind Thief wasn’t a collector.
Sell them off?
No, money meant nothing to the Wind Thief.
Eat them as food?
No, the Wind Thief didn’t need to eat.
It stole things from others simply because it found it fun.
But after a while, the Wind Thief started to feel that stealing wasn’t as fun anymore.
“Maybe I should return the stolen things?” One day, the Wind Thief suddenly had this thought.
So, it took the stolen items and went to find their owners.
“Wow, this must be a righteous divine wind that defeated the Wind Thief and brought our things back!” People exclaimed in surprise when they got their belongings back.
Ha, the Wind Thief thought there was nothing more fun than this!
After that, the Wind Thief no longer stole from others, because it found more interesting things to do—like giving new hairstyles to those unhappy with theirs, sending cool breezes to people on hot summer days, and helping farmers chase away sparrows that were stealing grain from the fields…
Oh, and the Wind Thief also changed its name to “Divine Wind.”
Story Reflection
Doing bad things makes everyone hate you, but doing good deeds makes everyone love you. So, let’s not be like the Wind Thief, who only caused harm; instead, let’s be like the “Divine Wind,” helping others as much as we can!
