Excavator Story for Kid: Excavator looking for work

Once upon a time, there was an excavator who had grown up. One day, he thought, “I’ve grown up, I need to find a job now.” So he left home and set off on his way.

He walked and walked, and walked and walked, until he came to the entrance of a large shopping mall. Inside the mall, there were many people, some buying clothes, some buying food, and others buying toys. The mall security guard saw the excavator and walked over, “Excavator, what are you doing here?”

“I’m here to find a job,” the excavator replied.

“Leave, leave quickly! The mall is a place for people to shop, not for excavators to work. If you’re here, people can’t shop!”

“Oh, I understand, I’ll leave right away.”

The excavator continued walking. Up ahead, there was a lively place with many children playing inside. It turned out to be a kindergarten. There were many children in the kindergarten, some were playing on the slides, some were singing, some were dancing, and others were doing exercises. The kindergarten teacher walked over and said, “Excavator, what are you doing here? This is a place for children to learn and play. If you stay here, the children can’t learn.”

“Oh, I see!”

The excavator left disappointedly. He walked and walked again until he came to a big road. The road was bustling with traffic, with cars and buses flowing nonstop. As soon as the excavator stepped onto the road, the traffic became jammed. A traffic policeman quickly came over and said, “Excavator, leave here quickly! You’re blocking the road, and people can’t get to work!”

“Yes, I’ll leave right away.” The excavator hurriedly walked away. This time, the excavator came to a construction site. The site was very busy, with cranes, tractors, bulldozers, and trucks. It turned out that they were building a very beautiful skyscraper. A construction worker saw the excavator and said, “Excavator, come over here! We need you!” The excavator heard this and happily joined the construction team.

Kids, did you know? The tall buildings you live in also have the hard work of an excavator!
