Teenage romance story: The Love of a Foolish Boy
In the year 20xx, he and she both entered high school. He was a very quiet boy, while she was wild and loved to have fun! Due to class reshuffling, they ended up in the same class, even sitting in front of and behind each other. His name was Xiao Long, and he excelled in his studies; the teachers all liked him. Her name was Xiao Jie, and because she loved to play around, her grades weren’t good, and the teachers considered her a bad student.
The pressure of high school life was suffocating, and three years of hard work were all for the chance to receive an acceptance letter from a good university after the college entrance exams.
One day during class, a note was thrown onto Xiao Long’s desk. It read: “Why don’t you like talking to girls? Do you blush? Signed, Xiao Jie.”
He lowered his head and wrote back on the note: “Not at all. I just never initiate conversations with girls. I think I’m quite charming though!”

A little over a month before the college entrance exams, Xiao Long stopped attending school—he just couldn’t focus on his studies anymore.
After the exams, Xiao Long failed to get into a university. He ended up going to a vocational college in another city, while Xiao Jie stayed in the local city and attended a trade school. Although they were separated by their schools, they kept their relationship going through phone calls and the internet. Even though they couldn’t be together physically, their love remained strong.
One day, Xiao Jie caught a cold, and with no one by her side to take care of her, Xiao Long found out, bought a train ticket for that very day, and went to see her, even bringing her cold medicine!
Xiao Jie was so moved that she cried. Time flew by—they had already been together for over a year! Many of their former classmates said he was foolish. But fools have their blessings: he had her love, and he felt very happy!
Then one day, out of the blue, Xiao Jie told Xiao Long, “Let’s break up.” Xiao Long thought she was joking and replied, “What are you joking about?” Xiao Jie said, “I’m serious!” He went to see her and asked, “Why do you want to break up? Don’t you love me anymore?” Xiao Jie said, “I don’t love you anymore. I’ve fallen for someone else! He’s been by my side taking care of me, which you can’t do.”
Xiao Long cried, tears flowing down his face. He had given so much for her, only to be repaid with a breakup. The foolish boy left without saying a word. The sky was gray, and it started to rain.
