The Lion’s Teeth and the Raccoon’s Gems

A fashion-loving lion went to the forest beauty salon and said to Miss Monkey, the hairstylist, “Quick, dye my hair and give me a makeover.”

Miss Monkey asked, “Mr. Lion, what color do you want your hair to be, and how do you want your face to look?”

The lion quickly replied, “Dye my hair blue, isn’t that cool? No one else has it. Make my face with triple eyelids, black lips, and colorful teeth. How cool is that!” The lion spoke quickly, as he had already thought about this 200 times in his mind.

The lion, now sporting blue hair, triple eyelids, black lips, and colorful teeth, walked out of the beauty salon and was immediately noticed by a little raccoon.

The little raccoon was very fond of the lion’s two rows of shiny teeth. He really wanted to see if they were made of agate or diamonds. The raccoon closely followed the lion, hoping to pick up a tooth if the lion accidentally dropped one.

With his new triple eyelids, the lion couldn’t see clearly, and everything seemed to spin around him. He walked unsteadily, one foot higher than the other. Yet, he still put on a super cool attitude, strutting along with his head held high.

Ahead, there was a sharp rock with a pile of thorny branches lying beside it. The lion stumbled upon the sharp rock, rolled onto the thorny branches, and ended up with his vision blurred, his mouth bleeding, and his teeth flying out. His beautiful blue hair got tangled up with the thorny branches.

The little raccoon quickly gathered a handful of colorful teeth and hid them in his treasure trove, then shouted loudly, “Hey, everyone—”

From then on, the forest often saw a toothless, miserable-looking lion and a raccoon by the riverbank, always washing and admiring his gems—gems that had turned white and were shaped a bit like teeth.
