Crocodile Story: The Baby Crocodile is Hungry
Everyone knows that growing up makes you hungrier, and the baby crocodile is in the middle of growing.
“Grumble! Grumble!” The baby crocodile’s stomach growled.
“So hungry!” the baby crocodile cried out, holding its belly.
The little raccoon handed the baby crocodile a piece of candy.
A single piece of candy wasn’t even enough to fill the gap between its teeth!
“Grumble! Grumble! Grumble!” The baby crocodile’s stomach growled even louder.
“So hungry, so hungry, I’m so hungry I could swallow a piece of the sky!” The baby crocodile opened its mouth wide.
Oh no! The baby crocodile’s mouth was so big, it really seemed like it could swallow a piece of the sky!
What to do? The little raccoon was so worried, it started jumping up and down.
“Baby crocodile, here’s my mom’s best pumpkin cake. I was saving it for myself, but I’ll give it to you now!” The little badger handed the baby crocodile a pumpkin cake it had been hiding behind its back.
A small pumpkin cake was nothing compared to a piece of the sky! The baby crocodile’s stomach was still growling.
“Grumble! Grumble! Grumble!” The baby crocodile’s stomach wouldn’t stop growling. “I can still swallow a piece of the sky.”
What to do? The little badger was so worried, it started crying.
“Baby crocodile, here’s a big loaf of bread.” The little red fox pulled out a round, big loaf of bread and gave it to the baby crocodile.
The round, big loaf of bread still wasn’t as big as a piece of the sky. The baby crocodile’s stomach was still growling, grumble, grumble: “I want to swallow a piece of the sky!”
What to do? The little red fox was so worried, it started running around in circles.
“Don’t worry, we’re here to help!” A bunch of little animals came up behind the little raccoon.
“Baby crocodile, here are some cookies for you to eat.”
“Baby crocodile, here’s some mung bean cake for you to eat.”
“Baby crocodile, here’s some cotton candy for you to eat.”
…
The little crocodile ate and ate, “Hiccup—” The baby crocodile let out a big, loud hiccup!
The little red fox couldn’t hold back, the little raccoon couldn’t hold back… “Pfft!” Everyone burst out laughing.
It was such a relief—the sky wouldn’t be swallowed up!
Looking back at the baby crocodile, whose belly was now full, it was smiling sheepishly!
