Rooster Story: Visiting the Little Rooster’s Home
Today is the little rooster’s birthday. The little yellow duck, little white goose, and many other small animals are coming to visit. Mother Hen plans to make the best meal to treat them. Just then, a sudden gust of wind blows by. As it passes by Mother Hen’s window, it sees that a fire is burning, food is being cooked, and the table is set with many delicious dishes.
The wind thinks, “Let me go in and have a look.” So, it lifts its foot and, with all its might, kicks open Mother Hen’s door and crashes through the window. Instantly, the inside of the house is in chaos: the fire is out, the food is flying around.
Seeing this, Mother Hen urgently tells the little rooster, “Quick, close the doors and windows!” Together, they shut the windows and tightly close the door. The wind is pushed outside, and it angrily bangs and kicks at the door while making eerie noises. Mother Hen and the little rooster ignore it.
After a while, the little yellow duck arrives. It gently knocks on the door, and Mother Hen lets it in. A little later, the little white goose arrives. It also gently knocks, and the little rooster lets it in. The little white goose says, “Hello, little rooster!”
Hearing this, the wind realizes how impolite it had been earlier. So, it transforms into a gentle breeze and, imitating the little yellow duck and little white goose, gently knocks on the door and says, “I am the little wind, here to celebrate the little rooster’s birthday.” Mother Hen says, “Please come in!” and opens the door.
The wind says, “Hello, Mother Hen. May I help you blow the fire?” With that, the wind blows the fire until it blazes brightly, and Mother Hen quickly finishes cooking the meal.
Then, the wind helps tidy up, gently blowing the vegetable leaves and dirt into a pile. When it’s time to eat, Mother Hen invites the wind to join them, but the wind says, “Thank you, but I don’t eat.” Instead, the wind fills the room with the fragrance of flowers, gently wipes away everyone’s sweat, and helps with many other tasks. Only after everyone has finished eating does the wind leave Mother Hen’s home.
