Children’s bedtime stories

Up in the sky, there was a Cloud Kid who saw many children playing on the ground. It was so envious and wished it could join in the fun.

There was a boy named Tiger, who was wearing a white scarf and playing games with everyone. After a while, Tiger got a bit warm and took off his scarf, hanging it on a tree.

The Cloud Kid saw this and thought: “This is my chance!” It puckered its lips and blew a gust of wind, blowing away the white scarf. Then it floated down from the sky and transformed into a white scarf, hanging on the tree branch.

This scarf was quite unusual: when Tiger was cold, it would become big and drape over his shoulders; when Tiger was hot, it would turn into a white ribbon around his neck, looking very cool. When the girls were jumping rope and not including Tiger, the scarf would stretch out and become a long white rope tied between two small trees. As a result, the girls would beg Tiger, “Let us jump too, what a great white rope!”

Everyone had a great time, and the Cloud Kid was jumping up and down, incredibly happy. It regretted not coming down from the sky sooner.

One day, Tiger went on a picnic with his parents. The Cloud Kid transformed into a white blanket for them to sit on. However, after smoking, Tiger’s dad carelessly threw the cigarette butt on the ground, setting some fallen leaves and a small tree on fire.

The Cloud Kid was very anxious because the trees and grass were its friends! It jumped into the air and twisted itself like wringing a towel, dripping water to extinguish the fire.

The fire was out, but the Cloud Kid was still angry. It chased after Tiger’s dad, wringing water over his head, soaking him completely. It wasn’t until Tiger’s dad begged the Cloud Kid, “I won’t throw cigarette butts carelessly anymore, I won’t!” that it stopped.

Tiger helped his mom clean up the picnic trash, and they didn’t leave any garbage on the beautiful grass. This made the Cloud Kid very happy, and it transformed into a ribbon, twirling joyfully around Tiger’s neck.

It got late, and it was time to go home. However, they encountered a traffic jam on the way, which made them very anxious. Both Tiger and the Cloud Kid yawned.

The Cloud Kid didn’t want to wait anymore. It jumped off Tiger’s neck, floated up, and stretched out, becoming very large. It then wrapped itself around Tiger and floated out of the window.

Everyone in the cars stuck their heads out, amazed at the sight of the Cloud Kid and Tiger. Only Tiger’s parents sat calmly in the car because they trusted the Cloud Kid!

Thus, above the traffic jam, a cloud car appeared. The cloud car carried Tiger, flying through the sky silently.

Soon, the cloud car floated into the window of Tiger’s house.

Now, Tiger is lying in bed, snoring. The Cloud Kid is also lying on the bed, having transformed into Tiger’s pillow.
