Heartbreaking romance tale

Bin is the young master of a wealthy family, pampered and looking down on everyone. Qing is a girl from an ordinary family; her family’s poverty has made her more diligent and self-reliant. She despises those born with a silver spoon.

On a beautiful morning, Qing was riding her bicycle, listening to music, her hair flying in the breeze. Everything was perfect. Suddenly, a piercing horn sounded, and a car abruptly stopped in front of her, causing her to fall off her bike. Her knee got scraped, and blood started to flow.

“Hey, how do you ride your bike? Can’t you watch where you’re going?” A boy dressed in brand-name clothes got out of the car, looking at Qing with disdain.

Qing looked at him, finding everything about him loathsome. “You were driving too fast! Instead of admitting your mistake, you blame others. Just because you drive a fancy car and wear brand-name clothes, does that make you superior? You’re just a parasite raised by rich parents. What right do you have to look down on me?”

“So what if I look down on you? Sitting on the ground to ask for compensation? How much do you want? This young master will give it to you.”

Trembling, Qing stood up carefully. “Who wants your dirty money? I’m afraid it would dirty my hands.”

“Since you’re fine, there’s no need for me to waste words on you.” He threw Qing’s bike aside, causing the chain to fall off. “It’s a nuisance blocking the road.”

“Hey, how can you be like this? You caused my injury and threw my bike. Don’t you have any decency? You’ve broken my bike; you should pay for it.”

The boy took a wad of money from his pocket and threw it in front of her. “Is this enough?” Then he drove away, leaving the money scattered like fallen leaves.

Qing was furious and shouted at the car, “Don’t let me see you again, scumbag.”

As fate would have it, they ended up in the same class, with him sitting right behind her. Could her luck be any worse?

Sitting at her desk, Qing heard from behind, “Isn’t this the girl who tried to blackmail me? How come you’re studying here too? What bad luck.”

“Meeting you is the worst luck, you scumbag,” Qing retorted angrily. “You…” Bin wanted to say more, but the teacher entered the classroom, starting the day’s lessons.

Qing listened attentively, but suddenly felt a sharp pain on her scalp. She turned around to see the scumbag pulling her hair. Bin quickly let go, scared by her fierce glare, and buried his head in his book.

During the break, Qing hit him on the head with her book. “If you pull my hair again, I’ll beat you. I’m not easy to bully.” And so their days were filled with bickering.

During the summer camp, Qing and Bin were unfortunately grouped together, starting their wilderness adventure. The pampered young master, Bin, didn’t know how to do anything and lay under a tree enjoying the shade. Qing, on the other hand, set up the tent, made a fire, and cooked, handling everything efficiently. Bin watched her, noticing how pretty she was with her serene smile and bright eyes. Everything seemed so perfect.

Bin got up and walked towards Qing, trying to help but only making things worse. Qing, initially annoyed, couldn’t help but laugh at the soot on Bin’s face and naturally reached out to wipe it off. In that moment of eye contact, time seemed to freeze. Love began to take root and blossom in their hearts.

Both felt awkward, one blushing and the other embarrassed, as they resumed their tasks.

Time changed them and their feelings for each other, and they became an enviable couple, still quarreling but loving each other.

After graduating from university, they planned to find jobs and get married. However, the disparity between their families became an obstacle to their love.

“I can’t stand your family’s disdainful looks, just like you initially looked at me. I think we’re not suited for each other. Let’s break up.” Qing turned and walked away, tears streaming down as she did. “I love you. We can live our own lives without family interference,” Bin shouted desperately, but it didn’t make her turn back.

A few days later, Bin tried to call Qing, but her phone was disconnected. He angrily threw his phone on the ground.

Missing her more each day, Bin searched for her tirelessly, becoming haggard and unkempt.

One day, Bin’s sister found Qing and handed her a letter. “Bin asked me to give this to you. He said he won’t look for you anymore.”

Qing opened the letter, which read:

“Dear Qing, where are you? I’ve been looking for you for so long. Why can’t I find you? Are you deliberately avoiding me, trying to make me angry? I love you, just as you love me. I know my family makes you uncomfortable, but I’m willing to give up everything for you. But now, I can’t. I’m too tired to continue looking. I just hope you find your own happiness.”

Reading this, Qing felt a sharp pain in her heart. She loved him but knew they wouldn’t be happy together due to their families’ differences, so she chose to leave.

Bin’s sister said, “I know you love each other, but I didn’t support you either. Recently, Bin saw a girl on the street who looked like you and chased after her without thinking, getting hit by a car. He’s in the hospital, and the doctor said he won’t make it. I wrote this letter on his behalf. His last words were your name. It took a lot to find you. I hate you, but I must respect Bin’s wishes.”

Qing, stunned, grabbed Bin’s sister, shaking her. “This isn’t true. You’re lying. He’s not dead.” Tears streamed down her face as she broke down.

Bin’s sister slapped her. “Why would I lie? Do you think I’d joke about my brother’s life? It’s your fault. If not for you, this wouldn’t have happened.” She cried too. After a while, Qing asked, “Can I see him?” Bin’s sister nodded.

At Bin’s grave, Qing wept bitterly, knowing she would never see him again. Looking at his smiling face on the tombstone, she remembered their happy times together. If she had turned around, maybe things would have been different. But now it was too late.

A single turn had ended their love, a turn that missed a lifetime. If only they had been more understanding and forgiving, perhaps there would have been no regret, no such ending.
