Children’s fairy tale about a witch

The witch lived in the big forest, always flying around on her broomstick, dragging a big box behind her.

At first, everyone was curious and wanted to see what treasures were inside. However, they were immediately disappointed upon looking inside, as it was filled with “junk”: discarded children’s toys, wilted flower petals, broken comb teeth, a small clump of soil, three or four fallen leaves… all insignificant items.

“That must be a trash box!” one child said.

Autumn passed, and winter came whistling in. The earth put on a thick cotton coat, black bears hid in their caves, snoring away, and the birds all flew away together, leaving only bare trees.

“Sigh! Winter is so boring!” A frog blinked and yawned.

At that moment, the witch appeared before it. “The snow just now was heavy,” she said, shaking the snow off her broom, and opened her box.

The little frog wasn’t interested in her box. Everyone knew it was filled with useless things. “I’m going to hibernate. I can’t wait to see spring, the flowers smell so good, and the sunshine is so warm!” The little frog couldn’t help but close its eyes and start imagining.

“That’s easy,” said the witch. She opened the box, grabbed a handful of wilted flower petals, and scattered them in the air, chanting: “Bala zigu, Bala zigu!”

The little frog couldn’t help but open its eyes after hearing the witch. It saw the ground suddenly turn green, with wildflowers blooming everywhere, filling the air with fragrance. “Wow! It’s amazing!” The little frog hopped around excitedly. “If only there were some butterflies, it would be perfect!”

“That’s simple!” The witch took a handful of fallen leaves from the box and scattered them into the air. The leaves turned into colorful butterflies, flying among the flowers. Then, the witch used the comb to give the willow tree a full head of green hair, made big trumpets out of the soil, and turned toys into chicks and ducklings. They picked up the trumpets and started playing: “Dee-dee-da, dee-dee-da!”

The cheerful music woke up Mr. Sun, who peeked out of his cloud blanket and shouted, “Huh? Is it spring already? Oh no, I overslept!”

The little snowman was so happy that it shed tears of joy. “I finally get to see the beautiful spring!”

As for the little frog, it was sitting on the witch’s broomstick, spreading the seeds of spring!
