Squirrel story for kids

One day, Mother Squirrel was about to go collect pine cones and told the Little Squirrel, “The house is dirty. Can you clean it up?”

“But there’s no broom. How can I clean it?” the Little Squirrel asked, spreading out its tiny paws.

“The broom is right on you,” Mother Squirrel replied, then left.

The Little Squirrel searched all over its body and finally discovered that by gathering its tail together, it could make the perfect broom. Using its tail, it cleaned the house until it was spotless.

One sunny morning, the Little Squirrel was hopping around on the branches. Suddenly, a weasel climbed up the tree trunk. Seeing this, the Little Squirrel turned and ran. The weasel chased closely, driving the Little Squirrel to the treetop. “Mom!” the Little Squirrel cried out in a panic.

“Spread your tail and jump down!” Mother Squirrel shouted from a distance. The Little Squirrel followed its mother’s advice, leaping down with its tail spread wide like a parachute, landing safely on the ground. By the time the weasel climbed down, the Little Squirrel was long gone.

Winter arrived, bringing heavy snowfall. The Little Squirrel and its mother had stored enough food for the winter and were ready to sleep inside their home.

“Sweetie, cover yourself with your blanket!” Mother Squirrel said. The Little Squirrel immediately understood and covered itself with its fluffy tail. While the cold wind howled outside, the Little Squirrel felt warm and cozy.
