It was dark, and Bumbling Wolf walked dejectedly down the empty street. He had only scored 50 points on his test, so he was reluctant to go home.
“If only I could get a perfect score on the test!” Bumbling Wolf unknowingly ended up at Clever Cat’s door. Clever Cat always scored 100 points on tests—how did she do it?
Bumbling Wolf knocked on Clever Cat’s door and asked, “Clever Cat, do you know any way to get high scores without studying?”
Clever Cat replied, “How can you achieve good grades without studying hard?”
Bumbling Wolf blushed and lowered his head sadly. “I’m dumb; I can never remember what’s in the books.”
Clever Cat took a pencil from her school bag and said, “I have a magic pencil. Every word you write with it will be remembered, and if you encounter the same question on a test, it will automatically write the answer.”
“Really? Can I borrow it?” Bumbling Wolf was overjoyed.
“No problem!” Clever Cat handed the pencil to Bumbling Wolf. “Remember, you have to write carefully with it for it to work!”
“Got it!” Bumbling Wolf ran out in a flash, forgetting to say thank you.
From then on, Bumbling Wolf used the magic pencil to write many words every day, each word written neatly and carefully. A month later, Bumbling Wolf had finally “uploaded” all the new words in his textbook into the magic pencil. Another test was coming, and Bumbling Wolf confidently sat at his desk, thinking happily, “The magic pencil remembers the difficult questions; I’ll definitely get a perfect score this time, haha!” He opened his pencil case and suddenly cried out, “Oh no!
