Mother Crab Teaches Baby Crab to Walk

Mother Crab gave birth to a cute little crab. She loved the baby crab dearly, so she was very concerned about its education and was quite strict.

One day, Mother Crab was going to the “Crab Store” to buy something and took the baby crab along. On the way, Mother Crab noticed how awkwardly the baby crab was walking and found it unsightly. She said to the baby crab, “My child, you look terrible walking like that. You can’t walk sideways. Let me teach you how to walk straight.”

The baby crab replied, “Mom, I’ve been walking sideways ever since I was born. I can’t walk straight.”

“Just give it a try. You might be able to walk straight if you try,” Mother Crab said.

“Alright,” the baby crab said confidently, “I’ll give it a try.”

However, when the baby crab faced forward and tried to walk straight, its body involuntarily turned back. It couldn’t help itself. The baby crab anxiously called to its mother, “Mom, I can’t walk straight. You show me how.”

“Alright, but you must watch carefully when I demonstrate.”

But, just like the baby crab, Mother Crab’s body involuntarily turned back when she tried to walk straight. She tried many times and even broke into a sweat.

The baby crab said to Mother Crab, “Mom, it turns out you can’t walk straight either.”

Hearing this, Mother Crab lowered her head in shame and apologized to the baby crab, “I’m sorry, my child. I was wrong. Yes, when we educate others, we must first strictly require ourselves to meet the standard. Only when we have learned it ourselves can we teach others and bring good things to them.”
