Hello, my name is Si Nan.
In October of 20xx, at He Dong’s concert, Qi Han saw Si Nan again. If it weren’t for the “Han” character tattooed on his left arm reminding her, she might not have recognized him.
“I knew you would come,” Si Nan said, staring at the man singing on stage. The man was singing Qi Han’s favorite song passionately, maybe not just the song.
“How did you know?” Qi Han turned her head towards Si Nan, who was sitting to her right.
“Because I know you too well.” After saying this, Si Nan left his seat. Qi Han, lost in thought, didn’t notice.
“I can take you wandering, watch the sea with you, listen to you talk about the one you love…”
The music stopped and then started again. The voice was a bit hoarse, as if he had been crying. The singing reached Qi Han’s ears, but she remained lost in thought.

“Si Nan, I want to wander. I love the unfamiliar landscapes of strange cities.”
“Si Nan, I want to see the sea. Holding hands with the one I love.”
“Si Nan, I like Dong Dong. Someday I will definitely go see him.”
…
In 20xx, I met Si Nan through friends. “Hello, my name is Si Nan.” This was the first thing he said to me. It was also the first thing he said every time we met. We got along very well, talking about things we encountered on the school street, sometimes mocking each other, sometimes discussing our dreams. Later, we became good friends. But then he suddenly disappeared.
I had never told anyone else about my hobbies, my dreams. Except him. I told him what I wanted to do, what I liked to do, and the person I liked. He was always willing to be my listener, hearing me chatter about happiness and sadness.
Three
The singing on stage abruptly stopped, and the audience was unusually excited.
“The song you just heard is called ‘Han,’ dedicated to everyone by my good friend Su Bei,” He Dong said, placing his hand on Su Bei’s shoulder and addressing the audience.
“Su Bei! Su Bei! Su Bei!” The audience shouted, as if he were the star of this concert.
Qi Han looked up at the two people on stage. On the right was He Dong, whom she had always liked. And on the left? The person on the left seemed familiar. Qi Han rubbed her eyes. Si Nan?! She almost exclaimed.
Qi Han never expected, never could have expected, to see him on stage one day.
Four
“Surprised, aren’t you? You never thought your casual remark would lead me down this path. And you never thought I would become good friends with your Dong Dong. I am Si Nan, also known as Su Bei.”
Qi Han looked up. Light music played in the café. Si Nan, sitting across from her, stirred his coffee as he spoke.
Qi Han remembered what she had said to him back then: “Dong Dong is a star. He’s much better than you.” Suddenly, she didn’t know what to say. Casually, she asked, “How have you been these years?”
“I’ve been well. My acting career is doing pretty well. How about you?”
“Yeah. Keep it up.”
Si Nan murmured something, then just smiled. His phone rang at that moment. He said a few words and hung up.
“Do you have a friend coming?” Qi Han asked awkwardly.
Si Nan smiled and nodded, but his eyes looked a bit sad.
Five
Five minutes later, He Dong appeared in the café. Qi Han was very surprised, but her calm expression shocked Su Bei. After Su Bei introduced them, the three of them fell silent, the atmosphere deathly quiet.
“Su Bei, we have a banquet in 30 minutes,” He Dong broke the silence.
“Yeah, I know.”
“Um, I need to go home now.”
“Alright, let me take you back.”
Qi Han politely declined and walked back alone.
“Is it her?” He Dong asked, seeing Su Bei staring blankly at Qi Han.
“She likes you.” Su Bei finally spoke after Qi Han disappeared at the corner.

On February 14th, 20xx, Si Nan got married. The bride was also a well-known artist in the industry. The best man was He Dong, and the bridesmaid was a female artist who had been rumored with He Dong, also a friend of the bride. Qi Han also attended the wedding. It was held in a villa, simple but romantic.
The bride was beautiful, the groom handsome. The bridesmaid was beautiful, and the best man was handsome too. But none of it had anything to do with me.
When the bride said, “I do,” Qi Han happened to pass out at the table. Later, He Dong found her, drove her back to her rented place, and then rushed back to the wedding.
He Dong suddenly realized he seemed to have fallen for this unique girl named Qi Han. But she didn’t seem to feel the same way, as Su Bei had said.

The day after Si Nan’s wedding, Qi Han moved to another city. He Dong found out after she had boarded the plane. Su Bei found out when he returned from his honeymoon.
“Su Bei, we were good friends, and you deceived me, saying Han liked me. But do you know? She said she liked a guy named Si Nan. That guy always kept things ambiguous but never said he loved her. Later, Si Nan got married. The bride was beautiful, but it wasn’t her. Damn Si Nan…”
Su Bei listened seriously but didn’t know what to say. He Dong didn’t know that Si Nan was Su Bei, and Su Bei was Si Nan. They were the same person.

Han,
You probably don’t know. From the time we met at the concert to the day before my wedding, it was exactly 520 days. I love you, and that has never changed. But you were always so stubborn, and I could never guess your thoughts.
If we hadn’t been so timid back then, maybe things wouldn’t have ended in such regret. I’m sorry. She’s a wonderful girl, loves me very much, and needs me. I can’t go looking for you. I can only keep this love in my heart. I hope you find someone who loves you as much as you love them.
Si Nan
Si Nan didn’t have the courage to press send, fearing it would disrupt her life now. He decided to keep this secret.
Nine
In September of 20xx, Si Nan received a letter from France, sent by He Dong. The letter contained many photos and some words. The people in the photos were He Dong and Qi Han.
He Dong said they got married in Shanghai on August 16th. They didn’t invite any friends from the industry. They were now on their honeymoon in France, planning to travel around the world and not considering returning to the industry for now. He wished happiness to Si Nan and his wife.
Si Nan saw the genuine and happy smiles on the faces in the photos. He didn’t reply, closing the window. The wedding photo on his computer desktop, of him and his wife, also seemed to smile happily.
When he closed the window, he noticed the recipient was Su Bei, not Si Nan. Maybe He Dong still didn’t know the secret. But at least this way, it was better for everyone.
“I wish you all happiness,” he finally chose to bless them.
