Yuanyuan was playing in the woods. “Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh,” the wind blew, and oh no! It blew Yuanyuan’s hat away. The hat flew and flew, landing at the top of a tree.

“My hat! My hat!” Yuanyuan cried in distress.

“Hey, who’s crying?” Elephant heard and came over with a “thud, thud, thud.” “Little brother, why are you crying?”

“My hat flew away, up to the top of the tree.”

Elephant quickly said, “Don’t cry, don’t cry. I have a long trunk; I’ll help you get your hat.” Elephant stretched out his long trunk but couldn’t reach the hat. Elephant said, “Little brother, I’m sorry, I can’t get the hat.” Yuanyuan started crying again, “My hat, my hat, my hat!”

“Hey, who’s crying?” Giraffe heard and came over with a “clip-clop, clip-clop.” “Little brother, why are you crying?”

“My hat flew away, up to the top of the tree.”

Giraffe quickly said, “Don’t cry, don’t cry. I have a long neck; I’ll help you get your hat.” Giraffe stretched out his long neck but couldn’t reach the hat. Giraffe said, “Little brother, I’m sorry, I can’t get the hat either.” Yuanyuan started crying again, “My hat, my hat, my hat!”

“Hey, who’s crying?” Little Monkey came hopping over. “Little brother, why are you crying?”

Yuanyuan said, “My hat flew away, up to the top of the tree.”

Little Monkey quickly said, “Don’t cry, don’t cry. I’ll help you get your hat.” Yuanyuan said, “You don’t have a long trunk or a long neck. How can you get the hat?” Monkey smiled and said, “But I can climb trees!”

Monkey quickly climbed up the tree and got the hat. Little Monkey put the hat on his own head, then climbed down the tree and put the hat on Yuanyuan’s head.

Yuanyuan was so happy! He quickly said, “Thank you, Little Monkey!”
