On a quiet night, the crescent moon hung in the sky, its bright light illuminating the earth, and the forest was silent.

The fawn was out for a walk with its mother. As they walked, the fawn got separated from its mother and began to cry loudly in distress. Just then, a little turtle came along and saw the fawn crying. The turtle slowly walked over and asked, “Why are you crying here?”

With tearful eyes, the fawn replied, “I was out for a walk with my mother, but we got separated, and now I can’t find her.” As he spoke, large tears rolled down the fawn’s cheeks again.

The little turtle said, “Don’t cry, don’t cry. My home is in the depths of this forest near a small oak tree. Maybe your mother is nearby. I’ll take you there to have a look.”

So, the little turtle had the fawn lower itself, and then climbed slowly onto the fawn’s back. The fawn, with light and quick steps, carried the turtle to its home, where it found its mother dozing in a corner.

The turtle’s mother hurriedly offered fruits to the fawn and its mother. As night deepened, the fawn and its mother held hands and went home.
